Description:

Currently, the diagnosis and treatment of cracked and fractured teeth is largely symptom-based and often a sad, end-stage diagnosis. The fracturing process is one of dentistry’s last great mysteries and is poorly understood throughout the generalist and special-ist dental community. This program teaches you to understand and diagnose pathologic cracks utilizing magnification and other modalities and treat them long before symptoms arise or the tooth becomes unsalvageable. Learn routine identification of early cracks and Class II saucer-shaped nonretentive preparation and Fissurotomy Class I, which significantly departs from the G.V. Black preparations that are a leading cause of cracked teeth. A published approach to diagnosis based on 16X magnification, predictable step-by-step treatment, endodontic and periodontal implications, and when to extract are all reviewed in this exciting program.

Description:

Antibiotic resistance is a major public health threat, with “superbug” infections occurring in 2.8 people in the US each year. The clinician discusses guidelines for antibiotics for prophylaxis and treatment of infections in dentistry and challenges to responsible prescribing. Attendees are provided with numerous clinical tips, tools, and resources to promote antibiotic stewardship in their own practice.
